End of Life Support

death is a part of life

despite this, we tend to shy away from thinking or speaking about it. Fear of the unknown is usually the reason why. As an end of life doula, advocate, end of life educator and ceremony guide it is my wish to bring death into the light; to talk about it so we can be more informed when death comes for us or someone we know. having the correct information and knowing the choices we have around death and dying creates space for us to consider how we might die as well as we can.

End of Life Support & Ceremony Guide Services

As a qualified end of life doula, I provide non-medical support to someone who is dying and their community. I can fill in the gaps where you might need an extra pair of hands.

My role is to meet you where you are at. I come with no agenda or judgement, sometimes it might be logistic support that you need, or connection to other services in the area.

You might need someone to simply sit with you or provide respite for carers/family members. At times, an objective ear to listen can be supportive when you are navigating challenging conversations or family dynamics.

I can also assist with

  • Advance Care Planning

  • End of Life Ceremony planning

  • Legacy Creation

  • Emotional and spiritual support and guidance

As a funeral ceremony/Memorial Guide, I can work alongside you to create a personalised ceremony for yourself or your person to honour a life lived. Ceremony and/or ritual can take place at anytime- in the days before death

There are so many beautifully creative ways to design something unique and deeply meaningful.

The Compassionate Care Collective

The Compassionate Care Collective was established in July 2025 by Kerryn Davey and myself in response to community members stepping forward asking to contribute in tangible ways to foster awareness of end of life choices.

The Compassionate Care Collective is a group of heart-led people in the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley regions,  working together to build a creative, compassionate community around death, dying, caregiving, loss and bereavement. It is an inclusive network of end-of-life doulas, carers, health professionals, volunteers and community members, guided by values of courageous connection, inclusivity and heart-led relationships.

The Collective’s shared vision is to foster a supportive community equipped with the knowledge and confidence to navigate death and grief, reducing fear and stigma so that compassionate, informed support is available to all along the whole journey.

While this vision continues to evolve, grassroots activity is already well underway through regular Life & Death Conversation Circles in Bermagui, Malua Bay, Narooma, Pambula and Moruya, with facilitators holding space for deep, meaningful conversations around death, dying and grief.

As it continues to build, the Collective envisions supporting and partnering with events and initiatives that align with its vision and values, helping to weave compassionate end-of-life awareness more deeply into community life.

Please reach out if you would like to know more about the collective; what we do and how to get involved.

Monthly Life and Death Conversation Circles

The Compassionate Care Collective hosts Life and Death Conversation Circle across the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley Shires on the NSW South Coast.

These events are opportunities for meaningful and open conversations to discuss the subject of death, dying and bereavement. You may have many reasons for joining us ranging from curiosity to support; you are welcome to share or listen.

Please note, these circles are not therapy sessions.

Get in touch for more information and remaining 2026 Circle dates.
